Car sales fell by 47.4 percent in Pakistan,

According to recent data released by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), automobile sales fell 47.4 percent in the first four months of the current fiscal year 2023-24 compared to the same period the previous year.

According to the statistics, 20,871 automobiles were sold during the review period, compared to 39,700 units in the previous year’s comparable time.

The breakdown figures show that 2,239 Honda Civic and City vehicles were sold between July and October 2023-24, compared to 6,416 cars sold in July and October 2022-23.

Toyota Corolla and Yaris sales decreased 51% to 4,032 vehicles from 8,253 the previous year.

The Suzuki Swift had a significant dip in sales, falling 55% to 1,576 units from 3,466 units the previous year.

The Suzuki Cultus sold 1,142 units in the first four months of the current year, compared to 2,952 units in the same period previous year. Similarly, sales of the Suzuki WagonR fell to 1,160 units from 2,181 units the previous year.

Suzuki Alto sales decreased by 30% in the current year, from 13,464 units to 9,362 units. Furthermore, Suzuki Bolan sales fell to 684 units, compared to 1,469 units sold in the same month previous year.
