Naseem Shah and Babar Azam will not be participating in the National T20 Cup.

Due to their busy schedules, Pakistan’s top cricket players, Babar Azam and Naseem Shah, have decided to skip the home competition and withdraw from the National T20 Cup.

The pair apparently changed their minds about playing, which was a major change in their preparation for future international matches.
After being left out of Pakistan’s T20I squad for the series against New Zealand, Babar and Naseem were viewed as having a great chance to return in the National T20 Cup.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL), which starts next month, and Pakistan’s forthcoming ODI series against New Zealand are reportedly factors in both players’ choice to opt out.

Babar was one of Pakistan’s best scorers in Twenty20 Internationals last year, but his strike rate came under fire, which is said to have played a part in his exclusion from the team. Naseem, who is recuperating from an injury, was also passed over for the New Zealand Twenty20 Internationals.

Due to their subpar individual tournament results, both players are being closely watched after a disastrous Champions Trophy campaign.
Another development is that Mohammad Rizwan, who was also dropped out of the T20I team and Agha Salman took his position as vice-captain, is not expected to play in the National T20 Cup.

Despite early rumors that he may play, his name is not on the final roster, which eliminates any possibility that the three might get useful match practice.

Babar, Naseem, and Rizwan will be included in Pakistan’s ODI team for the New Zealand series despite missing the local tournament, giving them a chance to solidify their position in the national lineup before important white-ball assignments.
