The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has verified that fresh, crisp banknotes would be available for Eid, denying reports that no new notes were created this year.
According to SBP officials, commercial banks throughout Pakistan have already received Rs 27 billion in new currency notes, making them available to the public.
The State Bank confirmed that clean, high-quality crisp currency notes will be available at ATMs and bank counters around the country.
The SBP said that new currency notes were delivered to 17,000 commercial bank branches during Ramadan 2025.
The State Bank of Pakistan has also sent cash monitoring teams to guarantee a smooth and equitable distribution, avoiding any fake shortages.
Furthermore, the SBP has asked banks to provide uninterrupted ATM services during the Eid holidays to ensure that the public has access to new and clean notes.
According to the SBP, banks have been told to ensure that fresh notes are distributed fairly across their countrywide branch network.
The State Bank of Pakistan’s staff will monitor the procedure to avoid any anomalies and ensure that customers may obtain fresh notes without difficulty.
