The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is working hard to rid the country of illegal internet service providers.
In this regard, the PTA, in coordination with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), successfully conducted searches in Daharki, District Ghotki, and Johar Town, Lahore.
The operation targeted an illegal internet service provider on Daharki’s Zafar Bazar Road, and the equipment of the illegal ISP was removed. A functional internet infrastructure was uncovered in Lahore that was being operated without a legal authorization. Two persons were detained, and required equipment (switches/routers, etc.) was seized. The office has been closed, and the FIA is pursuing additional investigations as required by law.
