Babar Azam, Pakistan’s standout batsman, has reached a historic milestone by becoming only the third batter in history to hit 4,000 runs in all three formats of international cricket.
Babar accomplished this astounding achievement during the current first Test against South Africa in Centurion. Despite his accomplishment, the Test did not start as he had intended, as he was removed for only four runs in the first innings.
In Test cricket, Babar has been consistent, scoring nine hundreds and 26 half-centuries, the best of which was an astounding 196 runs. He had already scored 4,000 runs in both the ODI and T20 formats, cementing his status as one of the game’s most prolific modern-day performers.
Pakistan and South Africa will play two Tests, the first of which is today. Fans are keen to see how the club performs and if Babar can build on his history.
