(Web Desk) – Pakistan is expected to rest bowler Aamir Jamal for the second game of their two-match Test series against South Africa.
According to sources, the team management would most likely select Mir Hamza as his substitute in the starting XI for the match, which begins on Friday in Cape Town.
Left-arm spinner Nauman Ali, who took 20 wickets at an average of 13.85 in two Test matches against England in October 2024, is unlikely to be picked in the starting XI owing to ground circumstances.
Protease leads the series 1-0 after defeating Team Green by two wickets on the fourth day of the first Test at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
Following the victory, South Africa has advanced to the ICC World Test Championship final, which will be held at Lord’s next year.
