ISLAMABAD (PASAR) – Another new Malaysian airline has declared that it would begin flying operations in Pakistan, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given Airasia authorization to operate flights.
Airasia will resume flights to Karachi on May 30. Initially, the business plans to operate four weekly flights between Karachi and Kuala Lumpur.
The firm reaches a new milestone in the airline’s international network growth. The entry of a new international airline would result in new job opportunities in Pakistan. It currently operates flights on 22 routes.
This is Malaysia’s sole low-cost airline that offers direct flights to Karachi. Aviation experts believe the new route would improve affordable connectivity between the two countries.
With the launch of the new service, Malaysian travelers and the Pakistani population in Malaysia would benefit from cheaper airfares.
