The government raises the petrol tax by Rs. 10 per liter.

ISLAMABAD (Pasar Digital) The fuel duty was raised by the government by Rs. 10 per liter on Saturday.

Recently, the petroleum duty was raised from Rs60 to Rs70 per liter.

According to sources, the hike in the petroleum levy is in accordance with the promises made by the Pakistani government to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared earlier in the day that petroleum product prices will not rise for the next two weeks.
