According to Pasar Digital on Sunday, the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered 3,046 new businesses in February 2025, bringing the total to 2,46,608 businesses.
Using the digital platform, 99.9% of new businesses were registered by SECP.
According to recent data, 38% of businesses were registered as single members, while 58% of private corporations were registered.
In addition, three new international businesses set up shop in Pakistan.
In February 2025, a total of 635 businesses pertaining to information technology (IT) and commerce were registered.
About 379 businesses in the services sector and 286 businesses in the commerce sector were registered, while 296 new businesses in the construction and real estate sectors were registered, respectively.
The data also showed that 165 tourist and transportation firms, 139 food and beverage companies, 78 marketing and advertising companies, 75 textile companies, corporate agriculture farming companies, and 56 new companies were registered.
Foreign company registrations are rising noticeably as a result of the present government’s alluring investment policies.
